Hello! My name is Aline Bloch, I’m a French mom of 3, lucky to live in a multi-cultural and green city in Seattle area, WA, USA.
Self-taught artist, I fell in love a few years ago with a very basic (but incredibly rich) recycled material – Cardboard – I learned how to cut it, bend it, curve it, tear it apart, engrave it and how to upcycle it into unique pieces of furniture and Home décor.
By giving a second life to that medium, I became a member of the Upcycled Art community.
And that was the beginning of my creative journey as artist and teacher...
I share my passion through my artwork, through educational workshops, and art knowledge at local school and events. Showing people that they can recycle, reuse a simple material and turn it into nothing like discarded boxes from which they began…. opened minds!
What a pleasant feeling to be able to help people see things differently!
Working with recycled materials also allows me to develop my creativity, my sensibility and the need to increase awareness for the environment. As a Parisian living in the Pacific Northwest, I find inspiration in the intricacies and symmetry of Nature, the variety and color of global artists, as well as different cultures.
Everyday, I improve my lifestyle, try new habits, teach new values to my children.
It finally feels natural to pursue my journey learning more about Nature resources and Eco art, to always explore, experiment, share and inspire people to create more sustainable Art.
